Dylan has been going to pre-school for 3months now. I can't believe where the time has gone. He's doing really well. We actually had his first parent conference and he had his first picture day. Who thought they would have picture day at pre-school. I wasn't expecting that until kindergarten.
His parent conference went well. Wereally didn't' know what to expect since he has only been in school for a month. His teacher Ms. M said he's doing really well and adjusting really well to the school. He understands and takes directions well as well as focuses on each assignment/task that he is given. He eats really well during lunch and plays well with other children. Ms. M says he likes music time when they get into groups and sing songs and dance. She says he seems to enjoy group activities.
I think he's having a great time and school. He's picking up so much and learning so much (good habits and bad habits) at school. I know he has 3new friends he plays with on a regular basis (Darrius, Lola and Zara). He talks about them all the time.
This is kind of off topic, but I have to blog it so I can someday include it in my scrapping...
Tommy drops off D at pre-school. So every morning before I leave for work I give both of them a hug and kiss goodbye. One day as I'm leaving through the door to the garage D starts running towards me and says,
D: "you can't leave yet."
me: "why not baby"
D: "I need to give you a hug and kiss"
It totally melted my heart. I love this stage where he is so affectionate and loving. I know this only lasts so long esp. for boys. I need to enjoy every moment.
I had to add a recent picture of him even though it has nothing to do with the post.
